儒学与生态

　　生态危机已经成为全世界各个国家和民族都要认真对待的重大问题。生态的恶化导致人类的毁灭，也不再是一个遥远的可能性，而已然成为悬在人类头上的一把利剑。所谓“解铃还需系铃人”既然人类是生态危机的制造者，也只有人类才能真正解决生态的问题。生态的问题，绝不仅仅是环境保护的问题，更涉及人的世界观和存在方式。因此，解决生态问题除了需要不断发展的科技条件之外，更需要价值与观念的资源。没有充分的价值与观念自觉，科技的发展对于生态只能是徒增其害而已。

　　安乐哲（Roger T．Ames），夏威夷大学中国哲学教授。他翻译过《孙子兵法》（Sun-Tzu．TheArt of Warfare，Ballantine Books，1993），与刘殿爵一起合译《孙膑兵法》（SunPin：TheArt of Warfare，Ballantine Books。1996），与罗思文（H．Rosemont，Jr．）合译了《论语》（The Analects ofConf~cius：A Philosophical Translation，Ballantine Books，1998），与郝大维合译《中庸》（Focusing the Familiar：A Translation and Philoso．phicalInterpretation of the zhongyong，University of Hawai’ Press，2001）。他也是包括《透过孔子而思》（Thinking through Confucius，State Universityof New York Press，1987）、《期待中国：透过中西文化而思》（AnticipatingChina：Thinking through the Narratives of Chinese and Western Culture。State University of New York Press，1995）、《由汉而思：中西文化中的自我、真理和超越》（Thinking from the Han Self，Truth andTranscendence in Chinese and Western Culture， State Universitv of NewYork Press）等对中国哲学进行阐释性研究的著作的作者之一。
