Abstract

Cao Zhi,one of the most important writers in Wei-jin period;one of the most typical representative writers of Jian An style;the important force of the transition in human nature of literature suppressed from the Han dynasty to extending individuality of Wei-jin. The creation of Cao Zhi’s poetry broke through the barriers,making it possible to transit from expressing the ambition or the sadness after failure to express multiple emotion. His poems and Fu about love,friendship,affection has achieved great achievement,which is of the model significance. Cao Zhi’s Poem and Fu creation embodies the fundamental transformation from the ambition to Yuan Qing. In this paper,Cao Zhi’s emotional world,as well as emotional expression in poetry is discussed and summarized so as to reveal Cao Zhi’s contribution to Yuan Qing of poetry.

This paper is divided into eight parts.

Firstly,the introduction part makes clear the concept of emotion as well as clarifies the special significance of emotion to Chinese Literature. Secondly,this paper summarizes the present situation and deficiencies of Cao Zhi’s emotion research..

Chapter One,it combs Cao Zhi’s emotional expression status in previous literature with love,friendship,affection and self-realization in detail as the clue during three phases including the early Qin,the early Han dynasty and the middle and later Han dynasty according to the time sequence,making clear of the origin and basis of Cao Zhi’s emotional world and the literary expression. In conclusion,The themes of the poetry of the pre Qin period mainly focuses on ambition and love,especially about group nature,while the poets in the Han Dynasty don’t develop along the way of emotion,who advocate Confucianism. Thus,emotional expression is limited to the individual writers,making the literary emotion road very complicated.

Chapter Two,it analyzes the direct cause of emotional world to expand and the developing era foundation of Cao Zhi’s Yuan Qing of poetry. Firstly,the social unrest at the end of the Han dynasty,the establishment of Hongdumen Xue and the steering of character evaluation cause the impact of the dominance of Confucianism. Then,The gradual use of paper promotes the expression of literature on instant emotion. Cao Cao’s orders Cai sanling and Cao Pi to advocate equality,which helps Cao Zhi’s emotional world development. Cao Pi,Cao Cao’s attention to Literature and the organization of literary activities along with the works of other writers play a promoting role in Cao Zhi’s literary.

Chapter Three,this chapter focuses on Cao Zhi’s affection world and literary expression. Firstly,This chapter cracks the important question-to seize the throne which has important influence on Cao Zhi’s affection judgment. It draws a conclusion that Cao Zhi involves in the seizing the throne through the passive and natural way. Later,Cao Zhi drops out of the seizure of princes. Secondly,this chapter discusses Cao Zhi’s affection world and the literary expression. And then,it discusses Cao Zhi’s affection characteristics with his father,mother,brothers and the son and nephews. Finally,this chapter discusses Cao Zhi’s affection expression characteristics from four aspects:the construction of the affection world;combining the false and true genre;metaphor characteristics;genre selection according to the classification of Cao Zhi’s affection literature.

Chapter Four,it discusses Cao Zhi’s love world and literature expression. Firstly,it supplements the rationality and possibility of Cao Zhi’s love world with Queen Zhen. This paper argues that from the analysis of the relevant materials,the possibility of Cao Zhi’s love world with Queen Zhen exists. The paper then steps aside the love world between Cao Zhi and Queen Zhen temporarily to analysis the content of Cao Zhi’s love literature. Cao Zhi’s love poetry and Fu are rich in content,mainly including four aspects:joy of being together,sadness of separation,farewell and lovesickness,and the sorrow of the abandoned woman. His poetry is characterized by equal companion of love,and the love against the Ethics. In the aspect of love expression,it also has the characteristics of the transformation of the lyrical person and the full tension. Secondly,it analyzes the development and characteristics of Cao Zhi’s love literature content. Finally,it demonstrates the significance on behalf of emotional expression about The Goddess of the Luo—the typical works of classification of emotional poems.

Chapter Five It discusses CaoZhi’s friendship. Firstly,it discusses Cao Zhi’s friendship world,Cao Zhi’s friends and principles of making friends. The paper focuses on the analysis of the relationship between Cao Zhi and Ding brothers and Yang Xiu,and draws a conclusion that Cao Zhi makes friends with the persons with homology talent,and the persons who are informal,which has nothing to do with the political interests;Cao Zhi shares equal communication with his friends. Secondly,it discusses the main content of the friendship poems through the classification such as feasts,sightseeing,farewell and care for friends. CaoZhi creates more poems about friendship than other poets. At the same time,From the perspective of stylistic development,Cao Zhi creates five character banquet poems in earlier time,and he makes a useful exploration on the phonology. More importantly,Cao Zhi’s creation of five character poems makes the poems mature,and the form of the departing poems is also a kind of innovation.

Chapter Six,it summarizes Cao Zhi’s emotional characteristics of poetry,from emotional expression characteristics such as joy,fear,sadness,anxiety. whether they are meet Cao Zhi’s demand or not,it discusses Cao Zhi’s emotional characteristics of literature and the influence of Cao Zhi’s special life experience on emotional expression. Cao Zhi begins to express the pure joy in poetry;his poems in the form of allegory,all written in praise,or derogatory allusions lyrical way reveals the emotion of fear;the wandering life makes Cao Zhi love the description of homesikness and fairy. Besides,he creates pengcao imagery to express the sadness of wandering;Cao Zhi is full of anxiety and sadness for he can’t reach self achievement goal. Therefore,he shapes the image of the hero to express their inner world,or shows deep thinking straight from the heart.

Chapter Seven,it discusses the contribution that Cao Zhi makes in the process of the separation of ambition and affection poems and Fu. Cao Zhi’s literary creation has completed the overall construction of the emotional world of the literature. The quality of his poems and Fu is second to none. Cao Zhi particularly emphasizes he emotional expression and his emotional tone is still dominated by sorrow. However,he finds the basis of the pure happiness. Cao Zhi thinks that people’s emotions are valuable,and he creates poems and Fu not for advocating righteousness but for generous lyric,hence opening the way for expressing emotion through poems and Fu. Cao Zhi’s literary creation is the most important embodiment of transformation from illustrating ambition and things in poems and Fu to expressing emotion.
