内容简介

  本书取材于两本著名的生物工程方面的科普著作,共七章,约10万英语字,内容覆盖生物工程的主要领域。课文除直接采用原书章节外,编排尽量参照New Concept English的形式。如课文正文都注有行次。课文后有生词表(注明音标)和注释。注释分为文字和专业两方面,文字方面注释包括科技英语常用句型和容易混淆的文法等共49条;专业方面注释系考虑到学生还未接触到专业,为帮助理解课文,对某些名词和内容,给出科普性质的解释,共36条。并有结合课文的大量习题,包括阅读理解、词汇(如对课文中出现的关键或难理解的词给出英语释义)、词或词组的用法(包括对容易混淆的词对,通过造句表示两者的区别以及以某些常用词或词组进行造句练习)、句型和文法、翻译(取自课文)和写作(取自科技文献,还有写书信和摘要等)。书末附有书中出现的一般常用和化学、化工、生物方面的前、后缀和构语成分,语法、句型、词和词组的用法索引以及总词汇表。免费向教师提供习题参考答案。
